As I was turning 40, The Lord called on me, AND my husband, AND my two children, to train, join Team TobyMac, fundraise for New Hope Academy, and run in the Country Music Marathon. I hate to run, it hurts everywhere, running is something I will never do. The entire event was first class from meeting Toby and his family, to the pasta party & concert to the post-race party. We can still remember the worship time as the kids sang Casting Crowns' "Until the Whole World Hears" and just having goose bumps that God was doing amazing things in the lives of these kids at this wonderful school. Our visit to New Hope Academy was so very meaningful. We are huge fans of TobyMac and my husband saw this as a really cool opportunity to do a half-marathon and meet Toby! What we found out was that the cause we raised money for was so worth it. The experience at New Hope Academy with the kids blew me away and pumped me up. "Being a member of Team TobyMac changed my life! I grew in faith as I worked on fundraising I had a heart change as I took my running focus off of myself and put it on God.
